Northern Illinois Chapter
SMACNA of Northern Illinois represents over 35 union sheet metal and air conditioning contractors. These contractors perform commercial and residential heating, ventilating, and air conditioning; architectural and industrial sheet metal; as well as stainless kitchen equipment, manufacturing, testing and balancing, siding and decking. Our members employ highly skilled journeymen and apprentice sheet metal workers who are members of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 219. They demonstrate their knowledge, skill, performance and dependability and respond to your needs promptly and efficiently and provide the highest level of service throughout the job.

Our Goals
SMACNA’s goal is to provide it’s members an industry-wide atmosphere conducive to the profitable execution of business and, in turn, to provide the consumer with the highest quality product at a fair price. By maintaining an environment of cooperation with our labor partners, we are able to achieve stable labor relations and realistic labor agreements beneficial to our members, their employees and their customers.

SMACNA Contractors are committed to research and development, keeping on top of the newest technologies and meeting the rapidly changing needs of the industry with insight and innovation. They build the products they sell and are creative designers and expert fabricators. They continually develop new methods and machinery, testing and developing data based on sound engineering practices and wise management policies.
